Creating high-quality videos is an essential skill for effective communication, whether you’re producing content for educational purposes, marketing, or personal projects. Recording a new video allows you to share your message in a dynamic and engaging way.

Open the Teamly Capture bubble and click on "Capture."

Use the crosshair to select the area of the screen you want to record. If necessary, click and drag the selected area to reposition it.

⚠️  If no specific area is selected for recording, the default setting will capture the entire screen.

Before starting the recording, you have the option to toggle the narrator's camera bubble on or off, as well as turning the microphone on or off. You can also cancel the recording or click "Capture" to begin recording.

⚠️ The first time you enable the camera and microphone options, you'll be prompted to grant Teamly access to use them.

Clicking on "Capture" will start a countdown.

When the recording begins, you'll see the current run time, the amount of space used out of your plan's allotted space.

Next, you’ll find the option to turn the narrator’s camera bubble on or off.

Next, you’ll have the option to toggle the microphone on or off.

Use the pencil tool to draw directly on the screen recording, and adjust the drawing size with the slider.

Need to correct a mistake or erase a drawing? Use the eraser tool to remove it, and adjust its size with the slider.

The pause option lets you take a break from recording whenever needed.

When you’re finished, click on “Stop.”

To cancel the recording, click the X icon in the top-right corner.

After clicking the X icon, you’ll have the option to either “Cancel Recording” or “Resume.”

After clicking “Stop,” the video content will begin uploading to the server. The upload progress will be displayed and you will also have the option to cancel the upload if needed.

When the upload is successful, the recording link will be automatically copied to your clipboard. You can also click on “Edit video” to preview or make edits. All screen captures are saved in the “Files” tab, which you can access using the “Open Folder” option. Each file is labeled with the date and timestamp, based on the timezone configured in your Teamly account.

If the upload fails, a message like the one below will appear, providing options to either cancel or retry the upload.
