The activities of some departments are seasonal or temporary. When a department is no longer relevant to the current activity of the organization, archiving it is the perfect way to get it out of the way, yet have it easily accessible for when it’s needed again.
Click on the department's name at the top.
Click on ellipsis menu on the right side then select "Department details."
Click on "Archive department."
Owners, admins and managers can also navigate to the "Workspace settings."
Click on "Departments and messages."
Click on "Archive department."
A popup modal will be shown to confirm the action.
⚠️ The "General" department cannot be archived.
