Tasks represent action items or ideas, and can be included in direct messages. You might send a task within a message if it’s reassigned to a different team member, or it’s given a new due date, for example.
Open a direct message with the user you want to send a task to. Click on the "Tasks" icon.
A pop-up will be presented that allows you to search for tasks in a variety of ways. One way to locate a task is to toggle between "All Tasks" and those tasks assigned to the recipient of your message.
⚠️ This view will exclusively show tasks from workflows that you're associated with.
A second way to find tasks is with the search bar, by typing in the task’s name.
A final option to search for tasks is by clicking the icon in the far right of the search bar. This allows you to search for tasks by User, Priority, Date Added and Due Date.
Click on the task and drag it into the text field.
Send the task to the user and it will show up in their direct messages. The user can then click directly on the task to bring up the full details.
If a user lacks permission to access a workflow, they won't be able to view tasks shared from it in either direct messages or departments and will see the message, "You do not have permission to view this task."
