A project, essentially, is a sequence of tasks, and automations ease up on the transition between each of these tasks.
Maybe you’re a manager who doesn't want to tap anyone on the shoulder to remind them of a due date. Instead, an automation can do this for you.
Automations can also function as a handoff. When one step is complete, the next user receives the notification that it’s time to get started.
In the left side panel, locate and click on the "Workflows" option.
Ensure that the workflow is set to the "Board" view.
Click on the "Automations" button.
Click on the "Create automation" button.
Give the automation a name.
Specify the "IF conditions" for the automation.
Specify the "DO actions" for the automation.
To change the status, use the toggle at the top to switch between active and inactive. Additionally, you have the option to apply the setting to existing tasks if needed.
⚠️ The "Apply to existing tasks" option is only available when creating the automation.
Click on the "Create" button.
