Marking Up Screenshots

Screenshots are a powerful tool for communication, whether you’re providing feedback, giving instructions, or highlighting important details. Adding annotations can make your screenshots even more effective by drawing attention to specific areas and providing clear visual cues.


In the “Screenshot Editor,” use the markup tools located in the top left corner to add annotations, such as arrows, to emphasize specific areas of your screenshot.



Click on the color palette to choose a color for the arrow.



Click on the "+" icon to add a color to your favorites.



To remove a color from your favorites hover over it and click on the "X" icon.



Adjust the arrow's size, if needed.



If needed, you can add a drop shadow to the arrow for better visibility.



Use the border tool to highlight a specific area of your screenshot.



Click on the color palette to choose a color for the border.



Click on the "+" icon to add a color to your favorites.



To remove a color from your favorites hover over it and click on the "X" icon.



Adjust the border's size, if needed.



If needed, you can add a drop shadow to the border for better visibility.



The text tool lets you highlight specific details or ideas in your screenshot.



Select a "Font."



Click on the color palette to choose a color for the text.



Click on the "+" icon to add a color to your favorites.



To remove a color from your favorites hover over it and click on the "X" icon.



Adjust the text size, if needed.



Adjust the "Line height."



If needed, you can add a drop shadow to the border for better visibility.



Use the alignment options to align the text to the left, center or right.



Use the alignment options to align the text to the top, middle or bottom.



The draw tool allows you to freehand directly on the screenshot.



Click on the color palette to choose a color for the draw tool.



Click on the "+" icon to add a color to your favorites.



To remove a color from your favorites hover over it and click on the "X" icon.



Adjust the draw tool size, if needed.



If needed, you can add a drop shadow to the border for better visibility.



Use the eraser tool to easily remove any drawings.



Select the desired eraser size.



Need to blur out content in your screenshot? Click on the blur tool.



Set the blur "Strength."



Set the blur "Quality."



Made a mistake or need to undo the previous edit? Click the undo arrow to revert the change.



If you want to redo the change, click the redo arrow.



For more precise editing, use the zoom in/out controls located at the bottom-left corner of the screenshot area.



On the right, you have the option to “Save” your screenshot.



Selecting the “Share” option, copies a link to your screenshot on your clipboard.
